Good dish in the restaurant gets my imagination going and my creative juices flowing. Perfect meal out is the one I want to replicate at home. Here is the example. Steamed snapper with ginger, scallions and soy sauce. Had to use the oven with a bowl of boiling water instead of a proper steamer and snapper instead of barramundi. It works.
Beef Wellington
Not new or particularly original but still good. Added some potatoes this time to absorb the juices a bit, but skipped mushrooms.
This is what I want for my dinner tonight…
… and this is what I won’t get. Just two impediment – “
“You cannot step into the same river twice.” In my case it is boring to cook same meal over again (providing that I have a choice). Secondly I don’t have the ingredients, and not likely to get them today. Otherwise its perfect for my mood and appetite.
I’m back
Two weeks away from my pots and pans broke my kitchen routine. It is an effort for me to cook right now, cannot ease into my usual ways. My meals may take a rather unusual shape nowadays. Tat’s special after camp dinner… She was asking for an ox tongue for sometime… Not everyone was eager to try. When I was a child, it was a special occasions type of food (with a grumpy voice of an old hag)
I feel like an odd block trying to fit into the wrong slot.

Can’t do much, not until all the dust of this journey settles. I’ll be putting out pictures from my old archive hoping meanwhile for my balance to return.
Holidays are here
Home pasta as usual. Its so nice to make food together with kids, and not the basic stuff, but something interesting.
