I’am old enough to remember (vaguely) the life before computers. They help us, educate us, entertain us. It is a tool, a very useful tool, if you are willing to learn how to use it. I rely on mine a lot – making patterns, drawing CADs (sometimes called flats, or technical drawings), keeping books, editing pictures, etc, etc, etc. I wonder how am I going to make it through the next three weeks. My desktop is dead. I’m not completely cut out , laptops, Ipods, etc. are well and running and I do have my backups. But for all the graphic, visual stuff I need a big screen. So the Monday for me started with inability to make CADs from last week sketches, planned photo session postponed indefinitely. I cannot even cut a samples of next dresses cause I cannot print my patterns. My whole work flow is disrupted. Trying to see it as a good meditative exercise and flexible thinking opportunity, without much progress so far. I need to think, without big comp, I need to work around the big comp, I can survive without my big comp… My mantra for the next week, or two, or three… Wish me luck
Wish you a very good morning
That’s how I feel today
